How the Media Landscape Has Changed Since We Began

Even though there are tons of new media options since our founding, the fundamentals of media analysis haven't changed.

When White Rock was founded, advertising tactics like Facebook, Ad Exchanges, Satellite Radio, Mobile Ads, and Podcast sponsorships did not exist.  Today, these are things that we interact with on a daily basis.

White Rock was founded in 1999 to help advertisers improve how they plan and buy media to deliver their messages to the marketplace.  

Media buying historyThere is a crowing rooster in our company logo, because we think a rooster is a good metaphor for advertising:  crowing to the marketplace.

The rest of the story, as Paul Harvey would say, is that the company was started in the home of our founder, on fifteen very rural acres north of Columbus, Ohio.  On that little farmstead was a chicken coop where laying hens were kept.  Can you guess the breed of those hens?  Yep, they were White Rocks…now you know the rest of the story!

As technology has driven so many changes in how, when and where people consume media content, White Rock has constantly invested in the resources and training necessary to navigate this increasingly complex world.
